Many of you know that once you begin to “awaken,” you become much more conscious about the everyday things we do that have the potential of harming us in the longrun.
When my awakening began, I was surprised to start to understand that I was POISONING myself by using toxic shampoos and conditioners that soaked into my scalp, toxic lotions and perfumes on my skin, toxic cleaning products…
And worse, I was supporting companies that tested these toxic products on innocent, sentient beings.
I learned to start voting with my dollar, and investing in my health NOW so that I don’t have to invest in healthcare later.
I am often asked about the products I used, and so I’ve decided to begin compiling a list for you guys. Everything I recommend to you will be things that I actually use myself.
If I find alternatives that may be cheaper and I’ve heard good things about them, I’ll make a note that I haven’t tried them myself yet.
This took a while because I tried to get links for each one and prices, sorry about that! I will now have a page on my blog where you guys can always refer to this list if you need, and where I will update things I use.
BTW, if you use some of these links to get to the product, I get a very small commission at no additional charge to you. Regardless whether you use the link provided or look them up yourself, these are all products I stand behind 🙂
Hygiene
Shampoo & Conditioner:
Renpure Biotin & Collagen Thicken + Strengthen Shampoo ($3.99!!!)
https://rstyle.me/~aV1qP
Renpure Biotin & Collagen Thicken + Strengthen Conditioner ($6.99!!!)
https://rstyle.me/~aV1qR
I’ve seen a vast improvement in my hair thickness since using this shampoo and conditioner, and they are super inexpensive, natural, without any harsh chemicals or toxins – also cruelty-free & vegan!!
I get mine at Target but they should be available at most drugstores and even on Amazon, here: https://amzn.to/2HdmZnw (~$16 for the set)
Deodorant:
Love Beauty Planet Deodorant ($6.99) – I’ve tried expensive natural deodorants that cost around $20-30, and this is by far my favorite.
Get it at Target in-store or online here: https://rstyle.me/~aV1rv
I also love the Corpus deodorant, and I switch on and off from these two. Corpus is more expensive, around $20, but you get $5 off with this link: http://fbuy.me/nzQLd
I use the Cedar smelling one and it’s REALLY good. In terms of effectiveness, it’s the same as the Love Beauty Planet one.
Toothpaste:
Tom’s fluoride-free (we want to decalcify our pineal gland by not consuming fluoride from our hygiene products & water!) peppermint (~$3-4)
You can get it at Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Sprout’s, Target, or order the two-pack like I do on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2Z8ea8V
Mouthwash:
Hello Activated Charcoal Fluoride-Free and alcohol-free mouthwash, I get 3 bottles for ~$16 on Amazon https://amzn.to/33HiIlY
Or at Target per bottle is like ~$4-5.
Skincare (whole system):
YURSKIN (yurskin.com, use “YURLEEOR” for a discount)
On a daily basis I use the face wash, the toner, the moisturizer, and the oil capsules.
YURSKIN system is vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, paraben-free, formaldehyde-free, steam-distilled WILDCRAFTED and ORGANIC botanicals, made with Green Energy, no artificial colors, additives, or fragrances).
While this isn’t the most expensive skincare out there, it’s definitely more high-end than drugstore brands.
I trust Kristine’s line because she does my facials and is in charge of the skin of some of the biggest celebrities out there, and has been for the past 20 years.
I also trust her because the story behind this skincare line – her niece got very sick, and wasn’t able to use anything on her skin that had any sort of chemicals, because it would affect her so badly.
YURSKIN was developed for Kristine’s niece while she was recovering, and I feel safe using it because of that.
I’ve used the line for 5 months now and my skin finally looks SO GOOD again after my spiritual awakening caused crazy acne to come out of NOWHERE.
For something less pricey, I have heard great things about the skincare line “The Ordinary.” It’s supposed to be super cheap but really high value, but I haven’t used it myself so it’s just another option I’ve heard about 🙂
Body lotion:
Right now, my go-to is Trader Joe’s new coconut body cream, it’s around $6 for a tub and it’s SO CREAMY and hydrating. I know not everyone has a TJ near them, so I’m going to be on the lookout for another body lotion/cream that’s nontoxic and natural.
I also got Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum as a birthday gift this last year and I’m almost out of it – this stuff makes your skin so tight and glowy. It has ingredients in it that are supposed to help with skin texture, too.
It’s pricey at $45 a tub, but it is 91% top allergen-free, non-toxic, vegan and cruelty-free. You can get it at Sephora here: https://rstyle.me/~aVdVC
Perfume:
For perfume, I switch back and forth with a few different things. My favorite scents I actually get when I’m in Tel Aviv, and they are a blend of essential oils. The other ones I will share are all available online/in the US. None of them are too pricey, so they last me a long time, they all smell heavenly, and they’re all non-toxic.- One is essential oils – I like to put a mix of peppermint and lavender on the back of my neck, and everyone always compliments my scent when I do that. I get my essential oils from The Den Meditation in West Hollywood, but DoTerra is a great brand – also anything you might find at Whole Foods/Sprouts works great.
- Free People 1809 Collection – Camp & Surf ($28 each). These are two scents that I like to wear together or separate. These little perfumes are 100% natural, no chemically-derived fragrance, cruelty-free and vegan.
Camp has notes of star anise, watermelon, a heart of galbanum, and base of Moroccan Cedarwood and Haitian vetiver. Free People sells it online here: https://rstyle.me/~aVdWb
Surf might be my favorite out of the two – the notes are Italian lemon, almond, melon, with a heart of Jasmine, yang ylang, coconut, and a base of Vanilla absolute and Brazilian tonka bean.

Sunscreen:
Pacifica Body Butter Coconut SPF 50 – this has a natural bronzer that is BEAUTIFUL – it reminds me of that new Kim Kardashian body makeup because it makes my skin all shimmery and bronze and perfect-looking.
However, I’m not sure if it’ll work for all skin types. I’m olive and it worked until I got too tan for it, and then it mismatched a bit. Still made me bronze-y though! ($13.99)
https://rstyle.me/~aV1rB
Sun Bum Original Sunscreen Spray – This and the Pacifica Body Butter are paragon free, cruelty-free, vegan, antioxidant-enriched, dermatologist-tested, etc. This one is SPF 30 at around $13-14 (Honestly I paid $19 for it in-store but online it seems to be cheaper) https://rstyle.me/~aV1rD
Sun Bum also makes a really good tinted face sunscreen – you could TOTALLY use the body sunscreen on your face, I do it all the time, but if you have sensitive skin then you might want a sunscreen specifically formulated for the more delicate skin of your face. ($17.99)

Cleaning Supplies
Hand wash:
Method French Lavender Hand Wash (they also have refillable packets, which I use). The rain scent is also amazing.
I get mine at Target and I buy it in a bottle + the refillable, but you can get the actual soap and fill up your own container here: https://amzn.to/2Hc1DXZ ($5.99, enough for ~3 refills)
Dish soap:
Method Dish Soap, clementine ($5.99 for 36 oz/two bottles) https://rstyle.me/~aVdXt
Laundry Detergent:
Seventh Generation Natural Liquid Detergent – Eucalyptus and Lavender ($9.99)
Aaron started using this exclusively, too, because it makes our clothes smell SO yummy.
https://rstyle.me/~aV1s6
Their fabric softener is amazing as well!
Supplements:
Vegan Collagen Supplement
Beauty Shroom by Moon Juice ($58) – I put this in my coffee, smoothies, and oatmeal. For coffee, you will need to blend it into some plant milk. This has REALLY helped my hair and my skin, and I’m currently on my second bottle 🙂
If you’re not in Los Angeles, you can get Beauty Shroom from Sephora here: https://rstyle.me/~aVdYo
Or from Nordstrom here: https://rstyle.me/~aVdYq
Or Urban Outfitters here: https://rstyle.me/~aVdYt
I also use Tati’s Halo supplements – when I used them for a month straight, I really did see results. I ran out now and I notice the difference, so I’m going to reorder soon. I used “The Original” Hair, skin, nails booster ($39.95) and also Kiwi, for skin ($29.95)
I think I noticed more results in my hair than in my skin, though. You can find them on her website here: https://halobeauty.com/
Energy/Pre-Work Out
Garden of Life Organic Plant-Based Energy + Focus ($26 but there’s a 40% off coupon you can add on Amazon right now!) https://amzn.to/2z7TIXi
I use this as a pre-workout, it keeps me focused on the task at hand and gives me the extra boost to power through my work out!
Garden of Life Memory & Focus for Young Adults, promotes memory, sharper focus & clear thinking($24) https://amzn.to/31Oy6Lw
Some of you asked for nail polish recommendations – I wish I knew how to do my own nails! I get gel manicures and regular pedicures at a local nail salon in West Hollywood. I FINALLY found an organic, nontoxic place…It’s much pricier than regular, but I think we all know that investing in your health NOW makes it so that you don’t have to invest in HEALTHCARE later.
I hope this was helpful, I’m sure I’ve forgotten a ton of stuff, so just message me and let me know and I’ll send out updates!
Since awakening and becoming more conscious and aware, I’m more understanding of how EVERYTHING we use and consume in our everyday lives affects us, the world, and the environment.
We want to…
- Leave the smallest footprint on this planet and become part of the solution, not the problem
- Make sure no innocent, sentient beings are being tested on so that we can wear some makeup…cruelty-free all the way.
- Vote with our money. The more we support companies who are not POISONING us with chemicals, the more we buy products that are vegan, cruelty-free, and nontoxic, the more the market is going to understand what we want. In time, these products will become cheaper and cheaper and more available. Vote with your dollar and together, we can rewire the consciousness of the planet to be more loving, more compassionate, more clean and pure.
- Make sure we treat our bodies like temples – with love and with the highest quality products we are able to acquire.
